Ian serves as Senior Investment Consultant and Head of Research for Parti Pris.
Ian has responsibility for leading client advisory and investment research efforts within the firm. In his role, Ian engages with Parti Pris clients on helping to solve investment design and portfolio construction issues pertaining to large-scale implementations of personalized investment programs. He also provides thought leadership on use of portfolio optimization techniques in the implementation of personalized multi-account household portfolios.
Ian brings almost 30 years of financial industry experience to his position at Parti Pris. Previously, he served as Founder and CEO of Innovative Quant Solutions, LLC for 20 years. He was a Principal, Portfolio Manager, Director of Research and Head of Product Development at Independence Investment Associates, and Senior Portfolio Manager at Franklin Portfolio Associates.
Ian holds a BS in Applied & Engineering Physics from Cornell University and an MBA in Financial Engineering from the MIT Sloan School of Business.
Ian has authored several articles and papers on investment management, quantitative methods and portfolio construction.
